Tucked away at the end of a charming, residential street is where you’ll find the Chapman Bags factory & shop. Away from the bustle of Botchergate & just a 5 minute bus (no 60 / 61 from outside the Vue cinema) from our apartments a visit to the factory will take you off the beaten track, discovering authentic craftsmanship at its best.
A true rarity, Chapman Bags is one of the only British brands to manufacture its bags exclusively in their own British factory. Their luxury bags are all handmade in Carlisle with many of the employees Cumbrian born & bred.
The factory shop is open 1000 – 1600 Monday- Friday with a wide range of their products from key rings at £25 (the perfect take away gift) to luxury luggage sets to last you a life time – sustainability is at Chapman’s core with a repair service available on most products.
