ABOUT CHARLOTTE

“Hello, my name is Charlotte Wynne-Smith. I am originally from the manx island, Isle of Man. I was very sporty at school, putting my hand into anything I could. My main sport being football, led me to play for multiple teams at the same time. At 15, I had my first major knee injury, where I had to receive physiotherapy. I was in awe of their knowledge in anatomy, but they weren’t the most approachable. So I thought, I want to do your job, but better! This allowed me to have a focus from a younger age on what I wanted to study later on. After sustaining multiple injuries consecutively, I decided to retire from football at 19 years old.

I moved to Cumbria in 2014 to study BSc Sports Rehabilitation. Over the few years I gained experience in private clinics, sporting events and shadowing at Carlisle United FC. I graduated in 2018 and immediately was offered a job opportunity. This private clinic setting allowed me to expand my knowledge about muscles, the nervous system and most importantly to me, how the body works.

Over the past 6 years I have been building my reputation across the county, with many coming from different areas in Cumbria. But also expanding from around the UK! So far I have had the pleasure of treating over 2,000 individuals, where I have grown massively in confidence, both in myself and my profession. I have solidified the treatment I offer, to where I know how to help people, but also listen!”
