The New Lonsdale building
We’re delighted to say that our next phase of development at The Halston is in motion! Plans have been submitted for the striking new extension to the current aparthotel on the site of the former Lonsdale Cinema. The new Lonsdale building doubles our capacity adding a further 19 apartments.
The design by local firm Black Box Architects is a modern take on the classical design of the post office building and will be linked to the hotel by a simple glass bridge.
The ‘studios’ (a nod to the buildings cinematic history) will be smaller high tech suites, with 55” LED TV’s, superfast broadband, mood lighting and sound systems, triple glazed and air conditioned throughout, but they will still remain proper studio apartments and very much at Hotel Room Prices, quality and affordability is everything.
The ground floor space will have a glass front and back, with a large raised rear sun terrace and direct access to the car park. Primarily designed as bar / restaurant space but it also has potential for retail. All enquiries should be directed to our agent at Walton Goodland.
