Updates on the much anticipated airport, where you can fly to and from and a special stay discount.
The first passenger flights in 25 years took off from Carlisle Lake District Airport today.
Located just six miles east of Carlisle City centre and only 15 minutes drive from The Halston , the new airport will use Scottish operator Loganair who fly over 1 million passengers a year and give out the iconic Tunnock’s Caramel wafers in-flight! A free mini bus will operate between the airport to the city centre and parking is currently free.
Flights will connect Carlisle and The Lake District with the South East of England (London Southend Airport), Northern Ireland (Belfast City Airport) and the Republic of Ireland (Dublin Airport) . Operating 14 inbound flights a week, tickets are now on sale via www.loganair.co.uk from just £39.99.
